One needle is divided at the shank and is wider on the eye, giving it a spherical shape. When using this needle, the thread, cord or elastic is clamped and secure, which makes threading very easy. The other bodkin is made from stainless steel and has both a large and a small eye for both thicker and finer yarns. This can also act as a double eye, so that the thread is more secure during use.
