The Sashiko World embroidery kits by Tulip include all the materials needed for Sashiko embroidery, the well-known Japanese technique. In ancient Japan, clothing was reinforced, quilted or repaired by sewing several layers of fabric together with decorative running stitches. Nowadays, Sashiko is mainly used for decorative purposes.
