Looking Back on a Creative and Inspiring Year at De Bondt 

The year is almost over, and at De Bondt we look back with pride and gratitude on a period full of new steps, special collaborations and inspiring milestones. A small selection of what the past year has brought us:  

New Brands in Our Range 

This year, we broadened our horizons with the addition of three exceptional brands: Pony, Milward, and Taylor Seville. These brands bring innovation and quality to our range, empowering retailers to serve their customers even better. Together, we continue to strengthen and inspire the crafting community. 

 

Innovation at Scheepjes 

Creativity thrives on exploring new possibilities. In 2024, Scheepjes introduced 7 new yarns—Candy Floss, Catona Chroma, Colour Crafter Parade, Cotton Whirl, Stone Washed Minerals, Woolwise, and Nakid—alongside beautiful new shades of Arcadia, Scrumptious, and Whirl. 

 

Our very first CKAL paved the way for the Goldcrest Scarf, Blue Tit Cushion and Bullfinch Blanket, while the popular Festival of Lights CAL once again brought crafters together in celebration of creativity and connection. 

 

Scheepjes also introduced exclusive tapestry kits in collaboration with award-winning artist Lucy Tiffney, a fantastic addition to our product range. The year concluded on a festive note with the Scheepjes Advent Project, offering crocheters the chance to enjoy quality crafting time with delightful free nativity patterns leading up to Christmas Day. 

 

The Power of Collaboration 

A highlight of the year was our participation in h+h Cologne, the leading B2B trade fair for crafts and hobbies. It was an invaluable opportunity to connect with retailers, suppliers, and partners who sharing our passion for crafting. 

Sustainability as a Common Thread  

This year, we made important strides in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). In 2023, we established our Theory of Change, outlining the impact we aim to create both within De Bondt and throughout our supply chain. This effort focuses on three key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): decent work (SDG 8), responsible consumption (SDG 12), and partnerships (SDG 17). With each small, conscious step, we are nurturing a more sustainable future.
